My name is Michael Olszak. I was born in Poland and moved to The Netherlands when I was 13 years old.

Ever since I saw a guy at school draw Spider-Man I was sold! Not only to the amazing art, but the comic book gave me something that inspired me to pick up the pencil myself and helped me through some tough times. This evolved into love for art in general. From fine art to conceptual art for games and movies, cartoons and all kinds of amazing stuff.

The expressions, angles, horrors and moods conveyed by so many amazing artists like Simon Bisley, Todd McFarlane, Frank Frazetta and Feng Zhu created a drive to become an artist myself.

I’ve experimented with traditional mediums like pencil, charcoal, pen and ink, oil painting as well as digital tools like Corel Painter, Photoshop, Newtek’s Lightwave, 3D Studio Max and Maya.

I recently started an illustration course at and I’m also studying at “De Teken Academie” to focus on the skills needed to develop an idea from sketch to final product and facilitate a more efficient growth as an artist.
